“You seem to have helped me for nothing, and don’t be a strange worker bee. If you do it like last time, I’ll be really angry.”

Carla clenched her hands at Annie’s smirk and apologized as if reflecting on her actions. The incident that day was deeply regretted by her.

No matter how much she tried to help the Miss, there are the guards responsible for the security of a family. If Annie didn’t come up with the excuses, Carla would have been punished in some way.

“Be careful, Carla.”

“Yes. I won’t do that again, miss.”

“I believe you.”

As she answered, Annie’s eyes did not fall far away. As she got closer to Annie, Annie’s white face reddened to the point that it was noticeable. She looked embarrassed and nervous, but not disgusted.

As before, the butler, who ran with all his might, bent over his upper body as if he was out of breath and let out a shaky voice.

The two women waited for him to speak. They predicted that Ejed would have come with his two aides.

But after a while, both women’s faces hardened at the name the butler uttered.

“Lord, Lord Sovenan came to visit the young lady. He has something to tell you…..”

Annie grabbed the angry Carla’s wrist and tried to calm her down. She whispered, “There’s no need to be fussy about anything.”

A clear anger, different from when she remembered Ejed just a moment ago, made her heart sting. Annie lowered her eyes as she calmed down the exasperated Carla.

As Annie’s expression darkened, Carla held her hands tightly and said.

“Miss, get rid of him right now! I’ll bring salt, so sprinkle salt in front of the front door…….”

“Butler.”

Carla paused as Annie opened her mouth. Her voice was somewhat indifferent, and no emotion appeared on her face as she stared at the butler.

Carla had a realization, it was completely different from just a few months ago. Annie really ended the breakup.

Her eyes were firm. The butler also bowed his head in a tense tone.

“Yes, miss.”

“I’m sorry for the long journey, but send him back as respectfully as possible.”

To be polite when getting angry and sarcastic is not enough in this situation. Carla became frustrated even though she knew Annie’s feelings.

But Annie was adamant. It ended anyway, but he was also the lover who shared memories of 6 years. In her younger days, she loved him lavishly and passionately.

Maybe it was a finishing for herself, and it was also a reward.

“Okay, miss.”

When the butler, who politely replied, did not leave, Annie stared at him silently. The way he licked his thin lips was like someone who had nothing to say.

Upon seeing that, he hurriedly turned around and headed for the mansion. Carla tried to follow him, but Annie hugged her shoulder.

Annie rested her forehead on Carla’s collarbone and slowly closed her eyes. Surprisingly, she didn’t feel any emotions as before.

Annie exhaled only colorful breaths. Carla only asked in a soft voice as if she was still worried.

“Miss. Shall we just go in?”

“Later. Today, I just want to be like this.”

Annie leaned her body against Carla and stretched her arms in the air. Then a leaf fell on her hand.

The mottled leaves had a slightly crumpled tip. Annie slowly gathered her hands together and clasped them.

Suddenly, she felt a small desire. Before this fall is over, she wanted to walk this road of fallen leaves with Ejed

She wanted to walk along an ordinary autumn street, not a tourist attraction she had seen many times.

She wanted to see a prettier smile than that under the fine autumn leaves.
