“I concealed my identity, only because I didn’t want others to think I won the championship because of my status. I didn’t expect anyone to misunderstand me for that.”

Jacob Powell was heartbroken. On the way home, he was somewhat doubtful whether Quinn had plagiarized. But seeing Quinn now, he knew he had misunderstood her. She would never plagiarize.

But what did she mean by concealing her own identity?

Before Jacob could figure it out, he heard Quinn’s soft voice: “Brother, actually I’ve been hiding something from you. Many years ago, I casually chose a name, and under that identity, I developed a few bottles of perfume. Unexpectedly, I somehow becamed a genius in the world of fragrances.”

Jacob drew a sharp breath and looked at her, wide-eyed, “Quinn… do you mean…”

Quinn looked a little embarrassed, and after a few seconds of silence, she murmured: “Yes, I am Mandy. I never expected it would cause such an uproar online.”

“I know Mandy’s name is a top-notch in the fragrance world. If I compete as Mandy, everyone will surely treat me well. No matter what work I submit, they would give me the highest appraisal, so I just changed my identity to compete. But my style has not changed much. I just made some changes on the base fragrance. I didn’t expect that after all these years, someone would seize the opportunity to attack me.”

The crowd heard Quinn’s explanation loud and clear.

An ecstatic look replaced the worried expression on Jacob’s face. He quickly grabbed Quinn’s hand, excitedly questioning: “Quinn, are you actually Mandy?”

“Yes.” Quinn shyly nodded.

“Great!” Jacob’s gloomy heart was suddenly light as a feather. He exclaimed loudly: “As you are Mandy, it’s of course alright for your work to resemble your previous pieces. Many contestants have made improvements on their past works, and it’s totally allowed by the contest organizers. If those people bashing you online knew you were Mandy, they would surely regret it!”

“Quinn, don’t worry. I’ll inform the company’s senior management right away and let them clarify it online.”

Quinn obediently nodded: “Alright, brother. I’ll also use Mandy’s account to post the message proving I haven’t plagiarized.”

At first, Jacob thought the Powell family had actually encountered a major problem, but in an unexpected twist, he found out his sister was actually Mandy herself.

Even though he was not in the fragrance industry, he had heard of the name Mandy. He couldn’t believe Quinn had kept it from them for so many years, thinking it wasn’t something worth bragging about. This showed just how kind-hearted and modest Quinn was.

“But…” Quinn suddenly frowned, her face full of confusion: “But, I haven’t used the name Mandy for many years, and the perfumes I released three years ago didn’t attract any attention. Why would someone suddenly compare our perfumes?”

“If it proves I’m Mandy, then I was clear my name online, but once I’m not, then the Powell family would…” Quinn’s eyes were filled with panic and fear, “Who is targeting the Powell family from behind the scenes?”

Bringing this up, everyone’s faces suddenly darkened.

The next second, Madam Powell slammed her cup on the table and angrily shouted: “It must be that bitch! Who else could it be? Xaviera Evans would be ecstatic if she could ruin the Powell family!”
