Lu Weixi’s expression changed.

Did Qin Zhiyou just say… ‘Xixi’? This was the nickname that her parents and her ex-boyfriend would call her before the tragedy in her family happened. All her other friends and colleagues would either call her ‘Weixi’, ‘Lu Gong’, ‘Ms. Lu’, or even her full name. How did he know about this?

Slightly dazed, she inched in closer to listen carefully when Qin Zhiyou murmured, “Water. I want to drink water.”

Lu Weixi stood up. “You want to drink water, right? Hold on.”

She should have heard it wrongly. After all, she was not very familiar with Qin Zhiyou at that time, and she had never heard him call her that in their five years of marriage.

One would indeed easily get thirsty after drinking too much alcohol, so she went into the kitchen and poured a glass of cold water. After another thought, she poured away half of it and mixed in some hot water as well.

When she came up with the water, Q in Zhiyou turned around and his lashes trembled, as if he was about to wake up. Lu Weixi hurriedly went forward.

“Zhiyou, have some water.”

After she finished her sentence, Qin Zhiyou’s suddenly knitted his brows and opened his eyes, which were slightly red from the alcohol. His gaze was slightly blurred and he did not reach out to take the cup. Lu Weixi was helpless and could only sit by the bed and put the cup by his lips. “It’s warm water.”

Even then Qin Zhiyou was slightly dazed. Although the cup right next to his lips, he did not go up to drink it. He just used his usual cold and mocking gaze to look at her without blinking, deeply and quietly, as if he was going to bore a hole in her face. Lu Weixi was a bit uncomfortable, so she placed the cup by the bedside table and stood up. “Call me if you need anything.”

Lu Weixi’s first reaction was to look at the study’s door. Luckily this was the study and to ensure the security of the documents inside, the door would automatically close by itself. With the closed door, nobody would be able to hear them.

With her experience of being in a marriage with Qin Zhiyou for five years, she would just be asking for trouble if she agitated him at this moment.

The sky just started to turn bright.

Qin Zhiyou was woken up by the birds outside the house. Even as he opened his eyes, his head hurt a little due to him being drunk the day before. However, he quickly realized that something was wrong. Huh. He wasn’t sleeping in the bedroom, but the study, and Lu Weixi was in his arms.
