Chapter 33: Name in the Dream (1)

Lu Weixi knitted her brows.

That couldn’t be right.

In all their years of marriage, Qin Zhiyou had never come to her workplace to look around and he had never fetched her from work before either. Besides, how did he know she was working overtime today? It couldn’t be that he was waiting here the whole time, right?

That man lowered his head and his hair slightly drooped over his face. Hearing the sounds of her coming down the stairs, he slowly raised his head and the moment his nonchalant eyes looked at her, they suddenly melted like ice as they shone, bright as the sun. Together with his slightly curled up lips and the faint yellow light above his head, his eyes looked especially meaningful.

Lu Weixi was dazed for a moment. No wonder the impact of a woman’s looks was so huge… A man’s looks were the same.

Besides, that person was actually Qin Zhiyou and he still smiled at her. Am I seeing things because I’m too hungry after not eating the entire night?

As expected, when Qin Zhiyou realized it was her in the next second, all the smiling intent on his face disappeared and he could not help but knit his brows. He stood up and his body shook slightly, clearly because he drank too much. Before he could walk further, Secretary Wang chased after him from behind and was slightly stunned when he saw her. However, he only nodded to greet her and immediately helped Qin Zhiyou up in the next second.

Qin Zhiyou flung his arm away, took a deep breath and stood still. Very quickly, a few middle-aged men dressed in suits came over and smiled at him. “CEO Qin, let’s find another time to discuss the details of the contract. Thank you for tonight.”

Qin Zhiyou also smiled and nodded. “I look forward to working with you.”

When Lu Weixi looked in the direction they came from, she knew that there was a high-end restaurant, so they must have come for a business dinner.

While they were talking, the middle-aged men had drivers who came to fetch them, and they boarded their cars respectively after bidding farewell. Lu Weixi glanced over and walked to her car without interest. Just as she was about to take out her car keys to open the door, her bag was suddenly snatched by someone. The strong alcohol scent attacked her nose and without even thinking, she knew that the person was Qin Zhiyou.

As expected, she saw Qin Zhiyou’s flushed face once she turned around, and he was holding her bag with knitted brows. “Why are you here?”

She was too lazy to reason with an alcoholic. The moment she said ‘this is my office’, Qin Zhiyou’s brows knitted even tighter. Then his entire bulky body crushed onto hers, causing her to move a few steps backward. At the same time, her bag in his hands had also dropped on the floor and everything spilled out.

“Hey, Qin Zhiyou.” Lu Weixi’s immediate reaction was that he was very heavy, and her second reaction was to look at her bag anxiously. Secretary Wang quickly came over and originally wanted to help him up with Lu Weixi, but perhaps his actions made Qin Zhiyou uncomfortable. Qin Zhiyou swiftly hung his two arms on Lu Weixi’s neck, his head resting against her shoulder without any intention of moving away. Secretary Wang nodded and hurriedly ran off to pick up her bag and its contents. Luckily, Qin Zhiyou was not too drunk and he could move, after she helped him for a few steps. The pair inched to the front of his car with much difficulty and Secretary Wang helped to open the door.

Just as Lu Weixi was thinking of shoving him into the car, she realized too late that Qin Zhiyou was too heavy and she fell into the back seat with him crushing his entire body onto hers. Now she could not even move easily, let alone stand up and leave to drive her own car.
