Chapter 32: Connections (2)

In the past few days, Xia Siyu and Bo Yan had gotten into proximity many times. The previous day, they had even kissed.

In all these interactions, Bo Yan had been the one who took the initiative.

However, this time, she was the one who initiated it and deliberately engaged in seductive talking. Till now, the duo remained in an embrace.

An awkwardness spread in the air.

Xia Siyu turned her head and lowered her eyes. She was feeling a little embarrassed from her behavior just now, and the smirk had long left her lips. “Then, if you don’t mind, I—”

Before she finished speaking, someone had alighted from one of the cars. When both of them turned their head, they saw that the person was Bo Yan’s assistant, Song Fengzhi. Song Fengzhi had earlier said to Bo Yan that he would be waiting downstairs to send him to the airport. When he saw the hugging duo, his body shook from the shock. Then, he stuttered, “Bo… Brother Bo…”

Xia Siyu forgot about changing her position and explained, “We are not—”

Right then, a car entered the parking lot and drove toward them.

The blaring lights from the car momentarily shone on them as though they were the highlights of a detective’s confident findings, giving them nowhere to hide.

This time, it was Xia Siyu’s assistant, Wei Jingjing.

Bo Yan and Xia Siyu were left speechless.

Wei Jingjing was still in the car. When she saw the sight in front of her, she grabbed Xiao Tang’s wrist with one hand and placed the other hand on her chest. “Hurry, hurry! Show me! Are my eyes alright? Did I really see Bo Yan and our Siyu hugging? The point is, Siyu initiated this?”

In the parking lot, all parties stared at one another.

No one spoke. The quietness made it seem like everyone else in the world had died.

Soon after, Bo Yan’s eyes recovered the usual calmness. He calmly turned his head and reached out his hand. Using two fingers, he lifted Xia Siyu’s wrist and flung it aside, followed by patting his shirt on where she had touched him. As though he were removing dirt, he even blew it with a face full of distaste.

Before Xia Siyu could even lash out, he frowned and gestured with his two fingers, implying two meters.

Then, he slowly retreated two steps and kept his distance.

Xia Siyu was startled for the next two seconds. She only comprehended the situation when he had moved back, and her anger immediately rose when she regained composure. She snarled as she shouted, “Bo Yan, I shall fight you to no end!” She wanted to storm up and pull his hair.

Of course, she did not succeed, for Wei Jingjing had immediately alighted the car and stopped her. Song Fengzhi also stepped out and stood in front of Bo Yan, halting whatever diabolical plan was in the making.

One should admit that although it was difficult to control Xia Siyu, given her understanding of Xia Siyu, Wei Jingjing knew she was a unicellular creature with a rigid brain. Her indignance toward Bo Yan only proved that they were not a couple.

At least, not now.

In the Qing Cheng Apartment Complex.

Three cups of tea were placed on the table. Wei Jingjing and Xiao Tang sat on the sofa, and they scanned the surroundings with a frown.

Xia Siyu elegantly sat on the carpet, with her legs aside. Her pinky finger was brushing against the material of the carpet. Even though she felt a little embarrassed and uncomfortable, her face appeared immensely calm and serious. She was like a student whose romantic relationship had been discovered by her parents.

Wei Jingjing took a sip of her tea before placing the cup back on the coffee table. “Spill it! What’s your relationship with Bo Yan?”
