Chapter 38: Mrs. Luo

Luo Yibei stared at the ring for a long while, only to suddenly and unexpectedly try it on.

Surprisingly, the ring that Fang Chixia had chosen fitted perfectly on his finger.

This surprised him a little. However, he took the ring off expressionlessly after a few seconds.

Wedding ring?

Now that they had gotten married, was she slowly starting to tell others about their relationship? At the thought of her impure motive in marrying him, a sense of agitation ignited within Luo Yibei.

In front of him, Fang Chixia didn’t even turn back once after leaving. The two of them got into the car one after another, both silent on their way back home as neither said a word.

After reaching home, Fang Chixia carried all the bags into the house and ignored him. Instead, she busied herself in her room all by herself, doing this and that. She had bought a lot of things, including wallpaper, small decorative items, paint, and more.

Likewise, Luo Yibei ignored her at first and went upstairs to settle his matters. Although Fang Chixia wasn’t that likable, she still settled his three meals pretty well.

Originally Luo Yibei had thought that she would go prepare dinner when it was time for dinner, yet who knew that he didn’t even hear her footsteps in the corridor after sitting upstairs for three hours.

What was she doing?

Luo Yibei froze for a moment before he walked out of his room slowly.

When he went downstairs, Fang Chixia was painting the garden’s fence with her back facing him. Dressed in a plain t-shirt, she wore a hairband with a butterfly knot tied on it. She was humming happily as she painted the fence, “I’m a painter that specializes in painting… Paint, paint, paint…”

Ever since she’d arrived here, her mood seemed to always be sunny and bright. Even when she was alone, she was able to make noises like this anytime she wanted too.

Luo Yibei glanced at her again and again, ridicule filling his eyes.

It seemed like she was really happy after marrying him!

Indeed, she should be happy. Which woman wouldn’t be happy after getting the status of Mrs. Luo?

“Go and prepare dinner!” Taking a few steps forward, he snatched the brush in her hand without any expression.

“How did I do?” Fang Chixia wiped the sweat on her forehead as she lifted her head, feeling really accomplished.

Much better!

She had painted all of the wooden fences in the large garden, making it look as white as snow. This seemed to add a hint of life in the original wooden color and it brightened the view of the garden immensely.

The garden that she had tended to gave off a brighter and more colorful feel, making others feel the warmth too.

Warmth.

This was not a color that belonged to Luo Yibei.

He glanced at it calmly, not even bothering to hide his disinterest as he said coldly, “If you don’t go to the kitchen within the next three seconds, we can go to the bathroom instead!”

Tsk, was this man a beast? How could he just say it so easily like he wanted to be an animal!

Fang Chixia didn’t take his words to heart, though she still obliged and went to the kitchen.

Just as she was taking some ingredients out from the refrigerator, she was deciding what to cook when the phone in the living room suddenly rang.

This was Luo Yibei’s house, so Fang Chixia didn’t intend to bother with it. She felt that he would answer it when he heard it. However, who knew that she still couldn’t hear his voice in the living room after the phone rang for a long time.

Afraid that it was something important, Fang Chixia hurried over to the phone and answered the call. “Hello, who is this?”

The other person seemed to freeze for a moment after hearing her voice as if suspecting that they had heard wrongly.

“Hello, may I ask who you are?” Fang Chixia asked again.

The person on the other end of the call fell silent for a long while before a pleasant female voice finally sounded.

“Who are you to Noah?”
