Chapter 523: Chapter 332: Sunken Ship? Good Riddance!_2
Fish that smells fishy basically isn’t fresh anymore.
However, since she hadn’t been exposed to these for long, she was very interested in the expensive and unfamiliar seafood for the time being.
Chu Mingcheng, hearing her inquiry, gave a serious answer.
“Yes, there are plenty of Coconut Crabs on the small island I found. Next time we have a chance, we should all go out to sea for a few days, bring tents and spend the night on the island.”
Jiang Luoluo, recalling the last time on the island, hesitated before saying, “There aren’t any murderers living on these islands in the Public Sea, right?”
“No, don’t worry!” Chu Mingcheng reassured her with a smile. “Which murderer could run that far away!”
“If someone had been to that island before, do you think I could still find a Coconut Crab weighing over ten pounds? It would have been snapped up a long time ago, okay?”
Everyone agreed that made perfect sense, and thus they began discussing when they could all go out to sea together.
Meanwhile, Chu Mingcheng wasn’t idle either; he picked up some tools to start dismantling the Coconut Crab.
As soon as he touched it, he realized that the crab was covered in oil.
That unique fragrance came from the oil.
Dismantling a Coconut Crab wasn’t difficult, as long as you had scissors and a small hammer.
Everyone paused their discussion to watch Chu Mingcheng intently as he disassembled the crab.
Especially the belly of the Coconut Crab, filled with rich, oozing roe.
Zhang Youning smacked his lips, “It looks so delicious.”
Upon hearing this, Chen Yang immediately chuckled and said, “Shall I buy one?”
She quickly shook her head, “No need, Ah Cheng already said there are more on that island; I want to catch one myself.”
Bai Jing joined in, “It always tastes better when you catch it yourself.”
Zhang Youning immediately nodded in agreement, “That’s right!”
But as Chu Mingcheng picked out all the crab meat and cracked open the claws, and the White Butterfly Shell was cooked and ready to eat,
The people connected with him suddenly left the chat one by one, with Zhang Wei even leaving a message, “You bastard, you want to eat in front of us? Dream on, bye~”
After saying this, he decisively left the video chat, leaving Chu Mingcheng taken aback.
Jiang Luoluo covered her mouth with a light chuckle upon seeing this, “Show off, and this is what you get from them, played like a fiddle!”
Chu Mingcheng was speechless, “One by one, they’ve all become so shrewd!”
“If it were me, I wouldn’t watch either. After a while, I can catch them myself anyway.”
“Well, it seems I’ve been too good to them.”
“Haha, just eat! We can talk later tonight, I don’t want to watch you eat good stuff and end up without my share, hmph!”
“Shall I catch one and bring it back?”
“Forget it, it’d be trouble if it’s discovered. Let’s wait until we go out to sea together. Alright, I won’t talk now; I’m going to do yoga!”
Watching the chat interface as everyone left, Chu Mingcheng sighed softly, having bragged a bit too much!
That evening meal somehow tasted less flavorful.
After dinner and admiring the star-filled sky for a while, Chu Mingcheng cleaned up everything on the deck and got back to work.
For the next two days, he explored this vast sea area, mapping out any spots where fish were gathering and noting down potential fishing spots.
In between, he encountered several shoals of ordinary-value fish like Mackerel and Sardines.
However, whether or not you could find these fish depends on luck as there were no fixed fishing locations; only experienced fishermen knew their migratory routes.
After arriving in the Public Sea, he realized that for types of fish like small yellow flower, there was really no need to come all this way to fish.
Back home in the East Sea, the yield was already high. In the Public Sea, it was tough to find fish groups suitable for catching, and the taste of the same species of fish wasn’t necessarily better than what could be found domestically.
In two days’ time, Chu Mingcheng had explored ten more places.
So far, including the three spots he had explored in the previous days, there were now eleven fishing spots in the southeast of the Bashe Channel, which was more than enough.
Having spent five days at sea, he had a day of fishing and hunting, successfully catching twenty-one crates of deep sea fish and Groupers.
The True Mackerel bait was all used up, and he had used thirty-four Styrofoam boxes, leaving sixteen remaining.
Chu Mingcheng set his sights on the northeast part of the Bashe Channel, looking to see what fish resources were there.
On the way to the northeast seas, he casually spent over three thousand Green Coins to fill up the boat’s fuel.
Finding fishing points had been very fuel-intensive, but thankfully the three hundred thousand or so Green Coins he had allowed him to be profligate.
Compared to the southeast, finding resource fishing spots in the northeast sea area of the Bashe Channel, aside from the True Mackerel map, could only be done using a fish finder.
In five days’ time, he had almost figured out the fixed fishing spots for True Mackerel and Golden Spearfish.
Chu Mingcheng didn’t plan to visit every location, instead, he sent the coordinates to Zhao Jun to let them handle it on their own.
It had taken him a day and a half to get from the southeast to the northeast.
From this position, if you head southwest, that’s Japan.
However, he continuously moved northeastwards, so he was always in the Public Sea.
According to the horizontal lines on the map, his current position should be at the boundary between the Yellow Sea and the Bohai Sea within domestic waters, quite a long way off.
Even if he found fitting fishing spots here, it was likely that Zhao Jun and his crew wouldn’t venture this far.
The fishing spots he had already found were sufficient, and since Zhao Jiahang had also come to the Public Sea before and knew some excellent fishing spots, there was no need to venture into the northeastern sea region.
Chu Mingcheng was only here because he figured since he was already in the Public Sea, he might as well tour both the southern and northern sea regions, especially since he had Green Coins to burn and wasn’t concerned about the cost of fuel consumption.
