The woman in charge asked, “What’s the situation there? It was not explained properly and we’re rather worried.”

“There’s only a small problem. You can go there yourself and take a look,” said Li Ran

“What problem?”

The woman in charge seemed really curious. She had been in charge of assigning missions ever since the safety base was built. Naturally, she wanted to know everything that was going on.

Ever since the apocalypse happened, she was extremely thankful that she still had a job. That was why she devoted herself to her work.

What Li Ran said tempted her to go to the farmhouse.

The woman in charge got impatient and waved her hand.

“Alright, I’ll be heading there. Do I need to bring anyone along?”

The woman in charge took action immediately. She was never the type to delay anything.

Li Ran pointed at the helicopter and said, “This helicopter is the only airborne vehicle in our base. It’s rather small. If we want to transport the pigs, we’ll have to use cars. So, we need to clear out all the zombies that are blocking our paths. Otherwise, they would cause us a lot of trouble.”

The pig farm was quite big. It had many modern facilities. However, the place was not well-regulated. The pigs were so dirty that Li Ran could not even bear to look at them. 

The woman in charge suddenly looked at Li Ran and asked, “How many pigs are there in the pig farm? Is it worth wasting our fuel like this? Furthermore, there are a lot of zombies. We’ll need to use a lot of resources to deal with them.”

They could just bomb the farmhouse’s surroundings, but who knows how long the clean-up would take. Just thinking about it gave the woman in charge a headache.

She brought the woman in charge to the pig farm. 

First, they met another woman who was originally from the safety base. 

The woman had stayed in the farmhouse for quite some time now, so she knew the place well. She brought them to a room where the piglets were raised.

When the woman in charge saw the vast amount of piglets, she was totally shocked. It was almost unbelievable.

“There are so many piglets. Does this mean that we’ll get to eat as much meat as we want in the future?”

Before Li Ran could say anything, the woman quickly replied, “That’s for sure. For now, we just need to be patient and raise them up.”

“But raising pigs requires a lot of pig feed. How do you plan to solve that problem? Don’t tell me you expect the base to provide them?”

Raising livestock was no easy task! 

The woman in charge had never imagined they would be needing pig feed. So, they did not collect such supplies. 

Li Ran shook her head and said, “There’s no need. The pig feed matter had already been settled.”

“How?”

“One of the people here had raised pigs for a long time. He developed the power to conjure pig feed.”

Li Ran was spouting nonsense.

However, the woman in charge had no reason to doubt her.

After she finished speaking, Li Ran paused for a moment.

‘What have I got myself into? This is not a small expenditure. Pig feed is not expensive, but I’m not rich either!’

Regardless, there was nothing else she could do but go with the flow.

As for the woman in charge, she was very satisfied with the explanation. 

She looked at Li Ran with excitement in her eyes.

Soon, they would get to eat pork.
