After returning to the base, Wang Tao and his group headed straight to the Hope Research Institute. Upon seeing them, Qu Shilin was visibly surprised.

Didn’t Wang Tao say they were going out today? It’s already evening, why haven’t they left yet?

“We’ve already come back.”

Wang Tao smiled and shrugged, while Ding Yuqin and the others also showed smiles.

Qu Shilin’s confirmation also put them at ease since they were not professionals and could not guarantee that this was indeed the research data of the Ancestral Virus.

“My heavens! You guys really found it! Comparing it with the data you gave me before, this set of data is completely researched from a different angle, with nearly no overlap! This is exactly what I need right now… my heavens…”

Qu Shilin was so excited she became somewhat incoherent.

Though she had asked Wang Tao to help find this information, she hadn’t held out much hope; she would’ve been grateful if they found it but okay if they didn’t… Yet to her surprise, Wang Tao really found it, and on the first day of their expedition!

This was a good sign indeed! Perhaps she could soon develop the Zombie Virus Antidote!

“Feel free to sit, don’t go yet, I need to validate this data!”

After her excitement, Qu Shilin quickly gave a shout and rushed into the laboratory.

Wang Tao shrugged his shoulders, and after waiting for over ten minutes, Qu Shilin came out of the laboratory.

“I’ve confirmed it, the data is good!”

The smile on Qu Shilin’s face was utterly undeniable.

“It’s good that there’s no problem, then we will head back first.”

Wang Tao stood up but was stopped by Qu Shilin.

“Wait, can you tell me who compiled this data? It’s not noted here…”

Wang Tao briefly recounted what happened earlier, including the incident where the Zombie Lord ate Wang Jing’s corpse and evolved into a Disaster Zombie.

As Wang Tao finished speaking, Qu Shilin’s mouth fell open, clearly confused, sharing the same thought Wang Tao had earlier–could they really evolve like this?

Her words made everyone stop for a moment.

That logic… does it make some sense?

“Let’s not mention that zombies are not the same as humans right now, if you don’t kill zombies, the zombies will kill you, so you must kill them!”
