“Donnie, if you’re thinking about acquiring Sinclair Oil at this time, I’d advise you to think twice. No one is going to sell their shares in Sinclair Oil now!”

Andrew Mellon warned Donnie with concern.

He knew that Donnie owned a significant number of shares in Sinclair Oil Corporation, but now that Sinclair Oil had secured the mining rights to the Baku Oil Field, it meant that the company had struck gold.

One could imagine that once this news was made public, Sinclair Oil’s stock price would shoot up like a rocket.

Andrew Mellon believed that among individuals in the United States, Donnie held the most cash, but the amount was at most fluctuating in the tens of millions.

Eventually, Donnie learned that right after the Soviet made their decision, the British Prime Minister Bonar Law contacted the Soviets at once, expressing his incomprehension over the matter.

Since the issue had directly alarmed the British Prime Minister, Donnie was convinced that even if the Soviets hadn’t given the British any leverage, they wouldn’t just give up so easily.

Therefore, Donnie saw it as likely that the British would play some tricks in this affair.

Otherwise, it wouldn’t match the British character.

No matter what, the United Kingdom still remained the unsetting sun empire, the world’s leading power. If the target had been Rockefeller, the United States might have offered robust support, but now it was Sinclair Oil.

Sinclair Oil currently had the support of the Roosevelt Family, but after all, the Roosevelts were no longer in their heyday.
