“Then should we ask Tang Hui to come along?” Qiao Mei asked.

Everyone turned to look at Xia Wan and Gao Long. Qiao Mei walked to Xia Wan’s side and reached out her hand, pretending to take Xia Wan’s pulse. In reality, she was using her X-ray vision to check on Xia Wan’s body. She found out that Xia Wan was currently pregnant and the fetus was still tiny.

“You… you’re pregnant…” Qiao Mei said in surprise.

Xia Wan immediately blushed and the expressions of the Xia family members quickly turned solemn. This would be such a huge embarrassment for the Xia family. The couple was not yet married but was already expecting a child. If word got out, the Xia family would be totally shamed! It would be too shameful for Xia Wan to stay in the capital!

However, Gao Long had lived overseas for a long time and felt that marriage was simply a matter between two people. He said happily, “I really never expect to be able to have children at my age!”

Xia Wan gripped Gao Long’s hand tightly and whispered, “Stop talking…”
