That’s why many truck drivers kept an axe or a wooden stick in their vehicle for protection.

Jiang Mianmian noticed her mother’s uneasiness these past few days and asked, “Mom, are you worried about Dad?”

Su Wanyu pretended to be relaxed, “No, I’m not worried. The driver is an old hand, it’s safe. I just miss your dad a bit and wonder when he’ll be back?”

Jiang Mianmian tilted her little head, calculated, and since her dad had left six days ago and based on what he said before, he should be back in about another week.

“Dad should be back in about a week.”
