Chapter 322: Chapter 322: Sang Family Unable to Attend Wedding Ceremony
“We’re all the same,” Sang Qiao said with a faint smile. She too had struggled with the decision of marrying Si Chenli for a long time, despite the answer being very simple.
For some matters, the spectators see things clearly, but the players are lost.
“Yeah, Qiaoqiao, we all need to be happy,” Meng Jiahe’s eyes brimmed with tears; her vision blurred, she felt she finally endured until she grew up into the woman she dreamed of becoming.
She vaguely remembered holding hands as children going out to play, only capable of staring at the Barbie dolls in the display window, wondering if Qiaoqiao had let go of those desires.
But she never had; the first thing she did when she grew up and got a room of her own was to fill her bedside with the Barbie dolls she loved.
“Yes, we will.”

On the day of the wedding, apart from Old Mr. Sang, the rest of the Sang Family were bound and thrown into a room, blindfolded.
A few guards sat nearby, one of whom said, “Speak up if you need water, otherwise stay quiet and don’t move if there’s nothing else.”
“Do you know who I am, who the hell sent you, are you tired of living?!”
Sang Shen struggled to break free from the ropes, but his captors had tied them too firmly; there was no way for him to escape, and his heart was filled with desperate urgency.
Today was Qiaoqiao’s wedding day, he couldn’t be here, he had to witness Qiaoqiao getting married with his own eyes.
“What is it you want?” Sang Qingran, however, was much calmer; the kidnappers had clearly prepared to seize them all.
“Keep it down. Aside from eating and drinking, you’d best keep your whining to yourself. If you annoy us, don’t blame us for gagging you!”
The guard’s voice conveyed impatience, threatening them menacingly.
“You want money, right? I’ll give it to you, any amount you ask, just please let me go. Today is my daughter’s birthday, I can’t be here…”
Mrs. Sang couldn’t hold back her tears; she had never felt such despair.
She could accept not having the chance to make amends, but now to miss her daughter’s wedding ceremony too…
“Cut the crap, who said we want money? We’re just here to make sure you don’t get to the wedding venue…”
“Smack!”
“What the hell are you babbling about?”
The indiscreet guard was slapped on the forehead by another, quietying him instantly.
Their conversation had clearly reached the ears of the Sang Family members, causing their hearts to panic painfully.
These guards showed no interest in money; they just plainly didn’t want them to attend the wedding. They could guess who was behind this: Si Chenli or… Qiaoqiao.
“Tell me, your employer is a man, isn’t he?” Sang Shen spoke with a trembling voice; fear was evident in his heart.
The guards dared not speak further, already having inadvertently leaked some information.
Although the employer hadn’t stressed confidentiality, as bodyguards, they knew better than to talk too much.
“Tell me! It’s Si Chenli, isn’t it?” Sang Shen’s emotions gradually became uncontrollable; the veins on his palms bulged, the rope biting deep into his wrists, yet he felt no pain.
What he needed was an answer, something to alleviate the immense anguish in his heart.
He needed to know that Qiaoqiao hadn’t conflated them with his older brother.
“Are you insane? Stop struggling!” the bodyguard exclaimed, noticing the bloodstains on the other person’s wrist. He was somewhat panicked; after all, the employer had explicitly instructed not to harm them.
Knowing now how crazy this person was, they should have put a towel under the ropes when they tied him up.
“Tell me, I just need to know the answer, and I’ll cooperate with you and wait here until the wedding is over,” Sang Shen persisted stubbornly for an answer.
The bodyguards maintained their silence, exchanging glances, all hesitating to speak.
Sang Shen clearly lost his patience, his forcefulness increasing to the point where his wrist bled profusely, “Tell me!”
“Alright, alright, stop struggling,” one of the bodyguards finally gave in. “Our employer isn’t the person you’re naming. She’s a girl, and when she hired us, there was an old gentleman with her, seemed like the Sang Family’s senior.”
“Those two were whispering to each other, and I overheard the old man say that he didn’t believe you youngsters would dare sue him if he hired us.”
Hearing those two statements from the bodyguard, their hearts sank in an instant; the answer was all too clear.
Sang Shen’s tension deflated, and he slumped against the wall like a pile of mud, devoid of the energy to struggle anymore. Was Qiaoqiao afraid they would ruin her wedding?
She was so afraid Si Chenli would be wronged, she also considered Chenli’s feelings…
So in Qiaoqiao’s heart, they were now in the same category as their eldest brother.
The bodyguard said, “Don’t move anymore; I’ve sent someone out to buy some medicine to treat your wound.”
Sang Shen didn’t respond, his heart had never felt so utterly dead before; he was in agony.
Sang Qingran was also silent, their eyes covered with a black cloth, unable to see each other, but both were acutely aware that everyone was in pain, and their expressions were no better.
“Siyang, you haven’t spoken because you guessed it the moment you arrived, right?”
“Yes,” Sang Siyang responded with a bitter smile. His pain was a day worse than theirs.
Because just as Qiaoqiao and the old gentleman were hiring the bodyguards, he had happened to return home and overheard their conversation in the living room.
Grandpa was trying hard to explain: Qiaoqiao, trust them, they are not like Nanfeng.
He heard Qiaoqiao say: I can’t trust people I don’t understand. I only know that I can’t let Ah Li be wronged again.
At that moment, Sang Siyang was in tremendous distress; he had no idea how he had left the old mansion, he didn’t tell anyone about this, nor did he hide.
His schedule was set as though predetermined, and he waited quietly.
Sang Siyang said numbly, “If she doesn’t want us to, we won’t go. In the end, it’s us who need her, not the other way around.”
These words silenced everyone, and they stopped struggling, obediently complying.

At the wedding venue, not only was the ceremony being live-streamed, but the turnout was also vast.
Meng Jiahe and Sang Qiao wore similar wedding dresses, one a playful short version and the other an elegant long version.
Under the watchful eyes of guests and family, they both found their happiness.
The online audience watching the live stream commented non-stop.
“Sister Qiao and Sister Ah He must be happy!”
“Sisters, take note, if your boyfriend says he’s too busy, just argue with him: Mr. Si can take the time to chase Sister Qiao in a love reality show, are you busier than Mr. Si?”
“The invincible attorney has finally fallen from his pedestal, and he matches Sister Ah He perfectly!”
“Just a passerby, but I think both hidden bosses of Rose Entertainment are so beautiful, they could debut themselves!”
