“Okay.”

“This hotpot base is so fragrant.”

Liao Liao and the others immediately stood up and walked to the table. They had hotpot many times, but it was their first time seeing such a luxurious hotpot.

Just as everyone sat down and hadn’t started dipping their favorite dishes, a sudden sound of footsteps came from outside; they instinctively stopped their chopsticks and all stood up very cautiously.

“Mr. Si.” Liao Liao was the first to react.

“Sit down, don’t be nervous,” Si Chenli said indifferently as he walked directly to the seat next to Sang Qiao.

Her three artists looked nervous, slowing their speed when picking up food.

Sang Qiao pointed to the meatballs and meat in front of her, “Are you guys eating these?”

“We’re not picky.”

“We’ll eat anything.”

She stood up, scooped some meatballs and meat as well as seafood for him.

“You eat too.”

“Okay, don’t drink the cold drink,” Si Chenli smiled lightly, discreetly swapping for a room-temperature one for her.

Sang Qiao frowned slightly; a drink wasn’t the same if it wasn’t cold. She looked straight at him, “I’ll just drink half a bottle.”

“Okay, only half a bottle,” compromised Si Chenli when he saw her like that.

It was still several days from her period, and half a bottle shouldn’t matter.

The three of them didn’t dare to lift their heads upon hearing the conversations nearby. He thought that they really shouldn’t be here; they should be in the fields.

Sang Qiao saw their bowls were empty, and immediately added more food to the pot.

“Eat more.”

“Okay.”

After dinner, everyone was very satisfied. Looking at the time, there was only one minute left until Chen Ling’s drama started, “Chen Ling’s drama is about to start, there’s a screening room upstairs, let’s go.”

Chen Ling, in the drama, wore very girlish clothes, a fresh-looking dress with curls which looked very beautiful.

Jiang Chaoyuan acknowledged Chen Ling’s beauty, but the script made him want to laugh, it was too cheesy–his laughter hadn’t fully escaped when he turned and saw three pairs of eyes staring at him, forcing Jiang Chaoyuan to retract his already spreading smile.

“Is there a problem with my performance?” Chen Ling innocently asked.

“This drama is so good-looking, absolutely sweet to the core, it’s definitely going to be a hit, right, Jiang Chaoyuan?” Liao Liao stared threateningly at Jiang Chaoyuan.

As if to say: Dare to criticize my goose’s new drama, and I’ll disown you and let you have it!

“No problems at all, the drama is really good, definitely will be a hit, yes, yes, yes,” Jiang Chaoyuan nodded stiffly, his face written with coercion.

Chen Ling held her phone and wanted to call the director to ask about the drama situation but felt it was pretty late; would calling disturb him?

Sang Qiao chuckled lightly, looking at the anxious Chen Ling. She could understand her concern for the drama. If not asked clearly, fear was that Chen Ling might just have a sleepless night.

“Okay, I’ll ask,” Chen Ling clenched her phone and finally mustered the courage to make the call.

The phone rang for a long while before being picked up, the director’s voice came through, “Chen Ling, what’s up calling at this hour?”

“Director, I saw you didn’t post about the drama in the group, I wanted to ask if the ratings aren’t too good?”

Chen Ling asked straightforwardly, her fingertips digging into the back of her phone, all tensed up.

“No, no, the viewing figures and such are very good, my computer here crashed and it’s being repaired, temporarily I don’t know the specific numbers, but our drama’s premiere was very successful, rest assured. Once I calculate the specific data, I’ll let you know immediately.”

The director’s words immediately eased Chen Ling’s previously anxious heart.
