Chapter 12: Chapter 12. The Wedding Night

After taking a shower, Ji Ningyan realized a severe problem. Qin Nanyu’s apartment only had two rooms. One was the master bedroom, with a single bed.

The other one was his study room, which had no bed!

So, where was she going to sleep tonight?

Qin Nanyu was taking a shower in the bathroom. The bathroom door was made of matte glass, and a fair and robust figure could be seen.

Ningyan glanced at it, and her mouth went dry. She hurriedly turned her head, found her luggage, and took out a pink blanket.

The sofa in the living room was huge and soft. It was more than enough to fit one of her!

By the time Qin Nanyu came out of the shower, Ji Ningyan was already lying on the sofa. The air conditioner was a bit high, and she was wrapped in a blanket, revealing her clean, white face. She looked tiny and dainty.

“You’re sleeping on the sofa tonight?” Qin Nanyu raised an eyebrow and glanced at the pink blanket.

Ji Ningyan sat up. She wore a set of conservative gray pajamas wrapped tightly around her limbs. She didn’t have to worry about how inappropriate it was to speak like this.

She nodded slightly and touched the soft material under her. “Your sofa is more comfortable than my bed. I think I’ll sleep well tonight.”

“It’s not very classy to let your new wife sleep on the sofa on her first night.” Qin Nanyu said, deep in thought.

“No!” Ning Yan’s heart thumped, and she hurriedly denied it. “That won’t happen. Our circumstances are different. We can’t be compared to ordinary married couples. I’m already very touched that you’re willing to take me in.”

Besides, where would she sleep if she didn’t sleep on the sofa? A bed?

Ji nNingyan didn’t even dare to think about sharing a bed with Qin Nanyu.

Qin Nanyu had initially planned to sleep on the sofa while Ji Ningyan slept on the bed, but from her reaction, he knew that she would disagree.

Although they had only known each other for a single afternoon, he understood Ningyan’s temperament quite well.

If he hadn’t dragged her luggage away, Ji Ningyan would never have moved into his place. “If that’s the case, then do as you wish.”

At this moment, the Ji clan was in an uproar because of Ji Ningyan.

Ji Dongting and Qin Min thought that since she ran away from the hotel, she would have to return to the Ji family.

Who would’ve thought they would wait till late at night and still not see Ji Ningyan’s return?

This time, the husband and wife couldn’t sit still any longer. They couldn’t contact Ji Ningyan, so the two began to quarrel.

When Ji Jiayan knocked on the door, Qin Min and Ji Dongting stopped to avoid being laughed at by their son.

“Mom, Dad, where’s the household register? Cancan and I are going to register in two days.”

Ji Jiayan was the eldest son of Ji Dongting and Qin Min. He was 27 years old this year and was handsome. He was the son that Qin Min was proud of.

“Isn’t it in the drawer in the study? Look carefully.” Qin Min was currently furious. On the one hand, it was because of Ji Ningyan. On the other hand, it was because she didn’t like her future daughter-in-law.

She felt that Geng Cancan’s family background was ordinary, and she didn’t look outstanding, so she wasn’t worthy of her son.

However, Ji Jiayan and Geng Cancan were in love, and he was very opinionated, so Qin Min couldn’t decide for him.

“It’s not in the drawer of the study.” Ji Jiayan answered.

Qin Min didn’t believe it. She went to the study to look for it herself, but there was nothing in the drawer.

“Dongting, did you take the household register?” Qin Min went back to her room and asked Ji Dongting.

“How is that possible? I haven’t needed to use the household register recently.”

“Then why did it suddenly disappear?”

For some reason, Qin Min suddenly recalled that Ji Ningyan had brought a man with her, claiming he was her husband. Her mind went blank, and her face turned pale. “She stole the household register and married someone else!
