“A baby just full a month old, and you’re taking him shopping?”

Ning Yanan held the little guy, looking at Qin Youxuan with concern.

In her eyes, it was clear, “You’re quite bold as a mother.”

“Don’t look at me like that. It’s your godson who wants to stroll around. He’s much braver than I am. Just look at him. With so many people around, has he even blinked his eyes? He looks so happy.”

Qin Youxuan had barely touched the little fellow’s cheek when he laughed happily.

Seeing Ning Yanan still uneasy, Qin Youxuan grabbed her arm and headed downstairs.

“Come shop with me for a bit, just half an hour at most. Once Dan Hanjie gets the news, he’ll definitely come to intercept us, and there won’t be a chance to shop.”

Ning Yanan paused, pulling Qin Youxuan back.

“Then let’s sit for a while longer and wait for Mr. Jie to come before we shop.”

“Yaya, are you still my bestie? You’re actually siding with Dan Hanjie!” Qin Youxuan exaggeratedly opened her mouth wide and glared at Ning Yanan with her cat-like eyes.

Ning Yanan immediately pinched her face.

“You’re a mother now, don’t act cute at me. You’re not as in demand as your son now. I’m not interested in shopping with you, but speaking of my godson, I don’t think I’ve ever given him any gifts. Let’s go to the baby section and pick out some presents for the baby.”

“That’s more like it.”

Qin Youxuan really didn’t care what they shopped for, as long as someone was there to accompany her.

Ever since she became pregnant with the baby, she had kept a low profile, going out only a handful of times over the last half a year.

If she didn’t get out and see some people soon, she was going to go stir crazy.

In the baby section, the little one perked up too.

Upon seeing fun toys, his little arms kept reaching out.

His bright and spirited eyes stared intently at the decorations on the small clothes.

His hand reached out, couldn’t touch them, formed a fist, and then stuffed back into his mouth.

He happily gnawed on his fist.

As soon as Ning Yanan saw the baby clothes, she couldn’t stop herself, and in no time at all, the two had swept up a bunch of stuff.

“At the rate we’re going, we won’t need half an hour to move the whole mall back home.”

Qin Youxuan sighed.

In just over ten minutes, together, they even started buying clothes for little Tingye’s future birthdays.

Looking at the pile of spoils, Qin Youxuan quickly grabbed Ning Yanan’s hand and started to put back items they couldn’t use right now.

“These are too early to buy; it’s a waste if we take them home. It’s not about the quantity of gifts a godmother buys, but the quality.”

After simplifying the haul, Qin Youxuan kept a few sets of baby clothes and shoes, and some very delicate toys.

Ning Yanan didn’t say much, simply pushing the cart to check out.

“We’ve been too fast, it’s not even half an hour yet. Do you want to check out the women’s clothing? It’s just up ahead.”

Initially, Ning Yanan was more eager than Qin Youxuan to shop.

Women are natural shopaholics, especially when they’re in a bad mood or under a lot of stress.

“Let’s forget it; the baby is still small. It’s okay to take him out for a bit, but I’m not comfortable staying out for too long.”

Qin Youxuan looked down at the little one in her arms, meeting his pitch-black eyes, and smiled.

Her son was her treasured darling. Qin Youxuan was actually more nervous than anyone else.

“That’s fine, I’m off today; I’ll drop you home.”

Ning Yanan carried the shopping bags, and after agreeing, they headed for the exit.

As they passed the women’s clothing section, a familiar voice entered their ears.
